Dam to Dam - Kayak, Canoe and More.

OVERVIEW

The “Dam to Dam Kayak, Canoe & More event is a boating event that attracts competitive as well as recreational paddlers. The event will also provide the public an opportunity to observe the different types of paddling sports and the contacts for the representative groups in the area.

Participants will pre-register by mail , on-line or at REI and will be assigned a race category & heat depending on the size & type of boat.

There will be 3 distances: 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles) and a 1 mile non-competitive paddle. The 10k distance is optional consisting of 2 laps for those that want a longer paddle. Scoring will be within that wave.. All other competition will be the 5K distance with the exception of the non- competitive division which will be 1 mile.

There will be 12 different starts to include the various classes of kayaks , canoes, crew boats , dragon boats, outriggers etc.. Not competitive?… No problem, You can do the 1 mile. and still receive the official t-shirt and other amenities.

Awards to male & female first place finishers in each of the competitive categories.

Sweet Tomatoes will proved a Continental breakfast for all participants

Multi color t-shirt to all participants

Door prizes and a Paddlers Village will be at the site to showcase all the latest “Gear”
